Academics

We are always focused on the development of the whole child and draw upon the very best educational practices from North America, Europe and the rest of the world.

The rigorous academic standards and benchmarks that AISR use are those established by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), combined with elements of our work with the American Education Reaches Out Project (AERO) and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development in the United States (ASCD).

The International Middle Years Curriculum, which we will launch during the 2011- 2012 academic year, will see a seamless progression for our students from the International Primary Curriculum, leading naturally onto the International Baccalaureate, the internationally recognised university entrance qualification.

Our seniors graduate with a US High School Diploma.  When required, students can also sit for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations.

Our curriculum goals are always to provide a balanced instructional program in the core academics of Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies along with comprehensive instruction in Art, Foreign Language (Dutch, French, Spanish), Information Technology, Music and Physical Education. We maximize your child's potential for academic and extra-curricular learning.

We always try to bring out the very best in your child.
