AISR embraces technology wholeheartedly. AISR enjoys a student to computer ratio of 3:1. The building is has a comprehensive wireless network, four computer labs and many classroom computers. The staff and students use a virtual learning environment, StudyWiz, which is available 24/7 to complement the school academics.
In the AISR Elementary School, students have forty-five minutes of formal technology instruction each week. The technology instructor works with the classroom teacher to integrate course work as much as possible. Students learn basic computer literacy while using software such as KidSpiration, Inspiration, KidPix, Click It!, AppleWorks, iMovie, PhotoShop Elements, and Microsoft Office. Students in the Upper Elementary gain experience with digital still cameras, digital video cameras, printers, scanners and other peripherals. Each Elementary classroom has two to three desktop computers that teachers use to enhance the academic instruction.
In the AISR Middle School and High School, classes have access to two mobile laptop labs on a block-by-block checkout system. Individual students also have access to computers in the library to use during breaks, before and after school.
