PhilosophyThe Guidance Department’s main objective is to help each student reach his
or her full potential by fostering a learning environment that develops the
academic, social and emotional needs of students.
The Guidance Program at the American International School of Rotterdam is comprehensive in nature and serves all students in Kindergarten through to Grade 12. The school counselor offers personalized services to students and parents through a program designed to help each student realize his or her unique potential, and to promote the school experience as a positive and productive one. The counselor works closely with the classroom teachers, the Resource teacher, the EAL Coordinator, and the IB Coordinator to assist with student learning and problem solving.
