Curriculum Overview
 The Middle School program at AISR begins in grade 6. We are very aware that for students at this stage in their education, the transition from a self-contained learning environment into a multi-classroom and multi-teacher day, although exciting, can often be daunting. All returning students will have participated in transition days at the end of grade 5 where they meet their future subject teachers, and learn about the academic programs and schedule. They will also have had the opportunity to talk with Middle School students in informal sessions and to shadow a current Middle School student for a day. New students also meet with staff and visit the classrooms during the orientation day procedures.
The school has adopted the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC)
as a natural extension to the lower school's International Primary
Curriculum (IPC). More information can be found here.
