Summer Camp questions & answers

How can I enrol my child(ren) for the Fun$Kids summer camp?

Please contact our summer camp co-ordinator Colette Skaff at or call 010-2189337

Admission to Fun4Kids is based on an enrolment system. Parents may enrol children at any time throughout the summer, starting from April 1st and ending 7th of August.

A child's place a summer camp is only guaranteed once payment has been received.

Acceptance is based on space available. If the program is filled to capacity, a waiting list will be formed on a “first come, first served” basis

Who may attend Summer Camp?

In 2017 AISR is offering a summer camp for children of all nationalities aged between 4 & 12 years. From 19 June to 7 July we are also able to accept 3 year old diaper free children.

Depending on the number of participants each week children will be divided into age appropriate groups.

What will the children do at Summer Camp?

Each week at summer camp will be filled with fun activities based around a weekly theme.

There will be a daily English lesson as well as arts & craft, cooking and sport activities. Previous camp activities have included tie-dying, cupcake and sushi making & papier-mâché.

Each week there will also be off campus excursions or workshops on campus run by visiting organisations. Some examples are trips to the animal farm, Outdoor Valley, bowling, midget golf as well as circus, science and exotic animal workshops.

Activities will be conducted as much as possible outside where weather permits, however the AISR campus has a sizeable gymnasium which can be used in the case of bad weather.

What language will be spoken at Summer Camp?

The primary language at summer camp will be English, however, we employ both native Dutch and English carers who can communicate with the summer camp children in both languages.

During the daily English lesson we are able to offer a similar program in Dutch for native English speaking children (or children who struggle with English).

What will the English lessons be like?

During the daily dedicated English lesson the children will be taught age appropriate English language skills and vocabulary in a fun and entertaining way. Instruction will be given through song and dance as well as storytelling for the younger children for example. Older children will learn using techniques such as role play, active games and worksheets.

Are the staff fully qualified?

Yes! All our staff members are selected based on their qualifications, experience and enthusiasm.

All our staff all have:

* Child Development Qualification

* First Aid and CPR Qualifications

* Certificate of Conduct (VOG)

A good staffing ratio is an essential ingredient to the quality of our summer camp. We have sufficient qualified staff members for the number of children to meet Dutch regulations.

Are children allowed to attend for multiple weeks?

Absolutely! Each week has a different theme and although some activities and excursions will be repeated throughout the course of the 8 weeks no two weeks will be exactly the same.

How much does Summer Camp cost?

Weekly Fees

* Summer Camp (8:00-16:00) € 234.00

* Additional hour after 16:00 € 7.80 (Last pick-up at 18:30)

A child's place a summer camp is only guaranteed once payment has been received.

What happens if my child is no longer able to attend summer camp once they have been enrolled?
